The Lake County Chapter is proud to offer the Continuing Education course entitled Defensible Appraisal Practices. The class description provided by NAIFA is:
Appraisal Practices (7
hours) - Defensible Appraisal Practices is an all-encompassing course designed
to provide a comprehensive look at best practices for appraisers in order to
recognize and meet those expectations. The course commences with discussion of
various avenues which could cause liability concerns for appraisers, including
the appraisal review process. Common areas of deficiencies and inadequacies in
the appraisal process are also discussed. The remainder of the course takes a
detailed look at compliance with USPAP, beginning with identification of the
problem through the reporting process. This includes expanded illustrations of
both acceptable and unacceptable practices.

NM, OK, PA, TN, TX, VA, WV
Our class instructor will be the incomparable Mike Orman, a highly respected and motivating instructor who will present the course at a new centrally located venue: University of St. Mary of the Lake, 1000 E. Maple Ave., Mundelein, IL 60060. Please note that your GPS may not provide details so directions to the Conference Center are below.
The cost is $149.00 and includes a continental breakfast, beverages, lunch, and refreshments. Early registration, before April 1, is only $129.00 so register early! Checks and online credit card payments are now being accepted.
The class check-in begins promptly at 7:30 am.

Here are the directions as provided by the University to get to the Conference Center:
From Rt. 176, west of Libertyville and across the street from Carmel Catholic High School, enter the Seminary grounds northbound. Follow the main road staying left until reaching the parking lot "purple." Park in lot "purple" and enter Conference Center building 400. Please note that there is no entrance from Rt. 45.
